The master plan was just to make a little extra cash, have some fun and fill a niche that hadn’t been filled. Two years later and Street Food is a main stream food option in the Bay Area!  There are now carts, trucks, festivals, underground markets and all kinds of developing food businesses.  It’s a thrill to see what has emerged from a chance taken and a dream listened to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;For us, on the Magic Curry Kart Express, it has been a rich and dynamic ride, revealing so much more of the city, the bay and the stuff that lies within. Career change, community building, business ventures, new relationships, culinary growth, food for the soul, food for the body, farmers, eaters and the threads that weave it all together… these are the things that we are reflecting on. Fueled by a tough  economy,  many took to the streets with their special recipes to express  their  creative culinary skills using social media to promote  themselves.  Now  these chefs will be sharing a some of their secrets in  a new cooking  series, Get Street Smart, produced by the Mission's own  Magic Curry Kart.  These classes will be held at the Mission based  non-profit community kitchen, &lt;a href="http://www.lacocinasf.org/"&gt;La Cocina&lt;/a&gt;.   This special organization has a beautiful incubator program in which  they support, mentor and develop small food businesses that are run by  low income mostly immigrant women. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: schoolbell,&amp;quot;;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 100%;"&gt;The  Get Street Smart cooking classes will cover basic skills and will  be  hands on with class sizes of 15-20 people and culminating in  an  intimate group meal. This time period also allows group leaders to  provide additional academic support. From 4 p.m. through pick-up, John  Muir youth are allotted the opportunity to select enrichment activities  from a list that consist of a wide spectrum of interest areas including  the arts, physical activities, additional academic support. It's quick and delicious.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recommended use...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/u&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;Basic Red Curry &lt;/b&gt;(serves 4-6)&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What you'll need...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;3 T Magic Curry Paste (Red), add more paste for spicy palettes!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1-2 c chopped vegetables (carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, green  beans, summer squash or any of your favorite vegetables)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1/2 pound of tofu, chicken or prawn* &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1/2 T oil &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1 can Coconut milk (13.5oz)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Water or stock (13.5oz)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1 1/2 t Sugar**&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;2 T Fish Sauce, alternately you can use 1/2 t Salt&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;In a wok, heat 1/2 T oil and 1 T Magic Curry Paste for 1 minute.&amp;nbsp;  Then add 1/2 pound of chicken* and stir fry on medium heat until well  saturated with paste (5-6 minutes).&amp;nbsp; Add another 2 T of paste, 1 can of  coconut milk, an equal amount of water or stock and chopped vegetables  and simmer for 3-4 minutes.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/b&gt;(Serves 4-6)&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What you'll need...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;3 T Magic Curry Paste (Green), add more paste for spicy palettes!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1-2 c chopped vegetables (carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, green  beans, summer squash or any of your favorite vegetables)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1/2 pound of tofu, chicken or prawn* &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;3/4 c Peanut butter&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1/2 T oil &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1 can Coconut milk (13.5oz)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Water or stock (13.5oz)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;1 1/2 T Sugar**&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;2 T Fish Sauce, alternately you can use 1/2 t Salt&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;In a wok, heat 1/2 T oil and 1 T Magic Curry Paste for 1 minute.&amp;nbsp;  Then add 1/2 pound of chicken* and stir fry on medium heat until well  saturated with paste (5-6 minutes).&amp;nbsp; Add another 2 T of paste, 1 can of  coconut milk, an equal amount of water or stock, 3/4 c peanut butter and chopped vegetables  and simmer for 3-4 minutes.&amp;nbsp;
